I joined the Pennsylvania Army National Guard in 2008. While serving part-time in the National Guard, I worked with SCE Environmental Group. At SCE I was responsible for frack-out containment on pipeline projects throughout NEPA, protecting streams and rivers, running pumps, building dams, and running equipment.
After some time at SCE, I ventured further into pipeline construction to continue implementing my environmental expertise gained while under the employ of SCE. I managed environmental crews and assisted in pipeline construction projects across NEPA in support of WPX Energy, Williams and Cabot Oil & Gas.
In 2012 I deployed with Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 109th Infantry Regiment, 55th Brigade Combat Team, 28th Infantry Division out of Honesdale in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) between 2012 and 2013. Aside from touring abroad, I also aided in the multiple evacuations and rescues perform by the unit during the most recent floods snow storms. While serving in the PA National Guard I learned basic coding for Data Multiplexers as I had a natural aptitude for Information Technology. This introduction to the coding environment sparked my interest In the sector, which began to fuel a much deeper passion and would soon become of great use.
Upon returning from Kuwait in 2013, Robert Loven (Past Company Commander) and James Loven, called upon my talents for Website Design & Development, in order to commercialize a product James Loven had been creating for some time. In 2014 we formed Sustainable Energy Management Systems LLC and together we began to market, sell and install the "Reflective Solar Tracking Systems" in NEPA.
In order to stay gainfully employed, I returned to Big Country Energy Services in North Dakota where I continued pipeline operations. Once the pipeline project was complete I returned back to Pennsylvania where continued building the foundations of Sustainable Energy Management Systems LLC alongside Robert and James Loven.
After some time, I went on to Precision Pipeline Solutions (PPS) out of New Windsor, NY. PPS was and is a prime contractor for UGI Natural Gas. While at PPS, I executed many tasks as an Operator Engineer to carry out mainline excavations, new services, restorations, emergency underground utility locates, preventative maintenance and inspections on existing UGI gas mains, valves, and services.
From there I went on to become a Foreman at Osmose Utility Services based in GA and operating in PA. While serving under Osmose I directed crew movements, implemented strategies, manage payroll, hired personnel, implemented a bonus structure, changed policy to improve safety and performance all while inspecting the integrity of powerlines and utilities for PPL, O & R, and First Energy.
I also spent some time at Solar City which would soon become Tesla. It was here, I was able to learn more about the Industry along with the Solar Strategies and Implementations for proper product commercialization. The trio was faced with a very difficult task. Penetrating the market with this product would not be easy by any means. With the knowledge acquired while at Tesla, though the experience was plentiful, I learned that no matter the size of the company, they all had one major flaw and I would soon look to correct it.
Once I had received a "Formal Education" from the nations leading solar company at the time, I went on to Kriger Construction Heavy Highway Division (PennDOT Contractor). This would serve as a means to raise significant capital in order to establish a solar company that would not only correct the mistakes of others in the sector but also deploys the tracking technologies we have been commercializing over the years.
While at Kriger, I was an Operator Engineer running various equipment in order to complete numerous tasks in the heavy highway construction industry ranging from round-a-bout work, stormwater drainage systems, and bridgework preparations.
It was after my time at Kriger I founded Solar Masons in 2018 and would begin to make the much-needed corrections to the Solar (PV) Energy Industry. This, of course, would take time so I once again ventured back into pipeline work where I served under Linde Corporation as an Operator Engineer for Williams while building energy transfer stations.
I am the Founder, Owner, and Chief Executive Officer of Solar Masons Solar (PV) Energy Utility Services and Manage Projects on the ground. We design and build projects for residential, commercial and utility services.
